PROJECT DESCRIPTION

AvLogix were appointed by Christchurch Airport to provide baggage handling system design services to support the mandatory compliance upgrade to the security screening processes at Christchurch airport.

This project required interface to various airport technology systems with the expansion of the existing systems to cater for the future growth projections in an already capacity constrained terminal.

The scope included initial impact analysis for the new screening standards which identified significant implications to the terminal infrastructure to accommodate the new processes.

AvLogix engagement continued through to a high level terminal development planning exercise and then into lead consultant coordinating a wider services and architectural team.

This project was at design completion stage at the onset of the Covid-19 pandemic forcing the project to a hold with construction now likely to conclude in 2022.
